Easy Algerian Traditional Bread

2 cups all purpose flour plus extra to work the bread
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 Tbsp French vanilla coffee mate or milk powder
1 Tbsp active dry yeast
1 egg
Pinch of salt
4oz vegetable oil or canola oil
Warm water

This recipe does not require any kneading of the dough.
1- Put yeast in ¼ cup of warm water and let activate.
2- Once the yeast is activated, mix with the rest of the ingredients except warm water.
3- Add in warm water gradually to help control the amount of water needed.
4- Mix with a wooden spoon until obtain a combined dough. The dough may be sticky at this stage.
5- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 and ½ hour.
6- Put the dough on a floured working board.
7- Gently work the dough with the flour until it’s no longer sticky, for about 2 minutes.
8- Pop out small balls of the dough between the thumb and index, the shape of a medium orange .Roll each dough ball in your hands to give it a nice spherical shape.
9- Put the dough balls directly in a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Sprinkle the dough balls with flour, make sure to leave space between them. You may choose to flatten the dough balls.
10- Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let rise for ½ hour.
11- Preheat oven to 350°F.
12- Bake the bread for about 20 minutes or until golden.
13- Serve.
