Soft and Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ stick unsalted butter at room temperature
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, the 2 sugars and the vanilla in a bowl.
  2. Add in the egg and mix well.
  3. Mix in the flour and baking powder.
  4. Toss in the chocolate chips, mix to combine.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes.
  6. Use an ice cream scoop or just form with hands walnut size balls. If it's too sticky, put hands from time to time in water.
  7. Place the dough balls in a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  8. Slightly flatten the dough balls.
  9. Bake in a 350°F preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
  10. Let cool then serve.
